Films can depict everything right from cultures. love stories, biographies to history and fantasies. The purpose of films could also vary according to its genre ,story ,script ,etc. The films could be just for entertainment or also can convey a message.

There is a prejudice in some people’s minds that movies are just for entertainment purposes. But the movies could also have educational values. For example a movie on the life of a sports person could be inspirational for many young aspirants. They can learn how the sportsman or sportswoman tackled all the odds and went to the top. Wheras a movie which shows an incident of the freedom struggle of a country could teach and make people aware about the stories of freedom fighters of their respective countries.

But some movies, nowadays, are showing many scenes which could be a bad influence on people, especially children. For instance, if a kid watches the film actor smoking cigarette, then that small kid could also go on that way at a very young age which is very injurious to health.Also some movies are showing too much violent content which is not really needed. These factors could affect the society in an ill manner.

Hence, the movies should be judged considering the content of movies. I opine that movies have also become a major part of life in today’s generation. So the content and story line of movies can deeply affect people. One must choose what to watch and what not, wisely.
